AN ARTIST'S TRAVELS Paintings by Herb Edwards October 12, 2021 - November 10, 2021 Opening Reception: Thursday, October 12, 5-7 PM
Art Talk: Saturday, October 14, 2-3 PM
An Artist’s Travels will feature a selection of landscapes created over the last 20 years in locations including North Carolina, Maine, New Mexico, and France, as well as Cape Cod where the artist resides. In these works, the merging of paint and image is both taut and improvisational, with an unexpected delicacy embodied in the viscous application of paint. Edwards’s approach to plein air painting exudes a confidence and singularity that stands out amongst others working in the genre.
On Saturday, October 14th from 2 - 3 pm, the artist will join the Directors of CANVAS ArtSpace for an informal slide presentation and discussion of his techniques and approach to painting from nature.
Full color monographs and signed prints are available for purchase.
