Drawing Faces for Beginners: Part II
June 23, 1:00 - 4:00 PM
Instructor: Terrilynn Dubreuil
Skill Level: Beginner
Media: Pencil, Charcoal
Fee: $45 (includes materials)
In this workshop we will expand on our knowledge of the human form by building upon the basic skills we learned in Drawing Faces for Beginners: Part I. In Part II we will learn how to add dimension to our drawings using value and shading, and will also learn how to approach the portrait from different angles -- above, below and 3/4 views.
For our final project, we will learn to draw from a live model, bringing together the new concepts we learned in a completed rendered portrait.
As with Part I, this is a an active studio class, and each participant will work on several facial studies and renderings at standing easels.
Drawing Faces for Beginners, Part I is a pre-requiste for this workshop.
